Extravaganza/Super Bowl Sunday
Next Sunday, February 5 will be our annual Extravaganza. We will start with a potato bar luncheon and silent auction hosted by our Haiti Mission’s Team. All lunch donations will go toward our Haiti Mission’s trip. Please bring a dessert to share.
After lunch we will have our Chippie Awards and present the 2012 budget for membership voting.
Then, Aaron and the youth team will be hosting a Super Bowl party for anyone interested in watching the game on the big screen. Doors open at 5pm. Please let us know on your communication card how many from your family plan to come to the luncheon
Opportunities to Serve & Go

Annual Dead of Winter Card Party – Crossroads annual DOW card party will be January 28th at 6:30pm at the Steeple Gallery. College age or older, the game is Crossroads Rummy, no experience necessary and fabulous prizes to the winners. Bring a snack, appetizer or dessert to share and sign up in the welcome center.
Crossroads Family Skate Night – February 19, 6 to 8pm at Skateland in Savoy. Crossroads is helping with part of the entry fees so the costs per person will be $2 entry and if needed $3 for skate rental and $4 per laser tag game.

Monticello Christian Academy cordially invites you to attend their 8th Annual Basket Bingo fundraising event on January 27 at 6:30 pm at Crossroads. Prayer for Kids and Teachers

Piatt County Ecumenical Food Pantry
The food pantry is running low again. They have plenty of green beans, corn, pork n beans, and a good supply of peanut butter and mac n cheese. There is a need for boxed potato/pasta/helpers, tuna, canned fruit of all kinds, cereal, dish & laundry soaps, paper towels. Thanks for any help you can give.
Neighbor House
There will be a box in the welcome center this summer to collect soaps, shampoos, lotions, etc., to be donated to our local domestic violence shelter or to be used for other mission trips.
Learning Opportunities
Bondage Breaker Small Group
This small group is primarily focused on the Biblical concept of promoting recovery from a variety of addictive behaviors. Meetings are at 7pm on Tuesday nights at Crossroads and is facilitated by Doug Edwards and Doug Lilly.
The Good and Beautiful God
This bible study meets Thursdays at Steeple Gallery from 4:45 – 6 PM and is lead by Sue Gortner. This book helps people discover the God that Jesus revealed and fits very well with the ST90 series.
Its Tough Being a Woman
This Beth Moore Bible study is based on the book of Esther. This morning group is planning to start in two weeks with day and location to be determined.
Hearing God’s Voice
This 8-week group will be starting on Wednesday, Feb 8 at 6:30pm at the Steeple Gallery. It is open to anyone who desires to know and experience God more through a study of Scripture and learning how to stay connected to the Holy Spirit on a daily basis.
