Opportunities to Serve
Serving Ethiopia
John and Jennifer Johns will be traveling to Ethiopia related to their upcoming adoption. They would like to take two suitcases of “Milk Based Formula” to donate directly to the orphanage. Ethiopia formula tends to be less nutritious and very expensive to obtain. If you would like to help please bring formula or put money for formula in the suitcases marked ‘Ethiopia’ in the welcome center.

Get to know Veronica!
Veronica McDuffee is our new Kids Ministry Director (Birth to 5th grade) and is also working in our front office. We would love for families to have Veronica over for dinner in order to help Veronica and families get to know each other. If you would like to feed (and get to know) Veronica, please let us know on your communication card. Veronica will also be contacting everyone in the church to update our church records.
Prayer Walk! – We are planning another prayer walk for Tuesday, July 27th at 7pm starting at the Steeple Gallery. We will be going to other churches and places in town to pray. Anyone is welcome to join. We will finish up at the DQ…. Maybe…
Boat Building Workshop
The boat builders (youth and adults) meet on Tuesdays at 4pm and Saturdays at 9am at the church shed. Contact Pete Bergstrom at 840-3400 for more information.
In Our Community
FEA Bookmobile Donations Wanted
Please bring in any gently used children’s books (K-12) for all reading levels and drop them off in the basket near the welcome table. Donations go to support the Future Educators of America at Monticello High School.
Food Donations
Kids Crossing (The Garage) is filling a large storage box with food items for the Ecumenical Food Pantry. Any donations are greatly appreciated!
Moms Group
We’re excited! This upcoming fall the Monticello Mom’s Group will begin meeting at their new ‘home’ – CROSSROADS! There’s a Registration Drive and Meet & Greet for prospective members on Wednesday, August 4 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. here at the church!
Encouraging Words
Crossroads is planning an outreach event for the Monticello Celebration on Saturday, Sept 18. We will be ministering to people at the Celebration by giving “Encouraging Words”. The next two training dates are August 2 and 16, from 6:30-8 at the Steeple Gallery.
Learning Opportunities
Baptism Class
Our annual baptism service will be Sunday, August 29. If you are considering baptism and would like more information, please contact the church office.
Men’s Bible Study
Larry Albaugh leads a Bible Study called “Getting There—How a man finds his way on the trail of life” at 6:30 a.m., Monday mornings at the Red Wheel restaurant.
High School Girls Bible Study
