Crossroads exists to help people love God and love others through faith in Jesus Christ.

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is Gods perfect guidebook for life. The Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. (John 17:17, Romans 15:4, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:19-21)

The Trinity

We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; that these three are all equally and fully God in substance, and carry out distinct but harmonious functions in the work of creation, providence and salvation. (Matthew 3:16-17, Matthew 28:19, John 1:1-4, Deuteronomy 6:4 2 Corinthians 13:14)

God the Father

We believe in God, the Father, an infinite personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of each person, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ. (Exodus 3:14, John 3:16-17, John 4:24, James 1:17)

God the Son

We believe in Jesus Christ, Gods only Son. We believe that He is fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. We believe in His sinless life, His substitutionary atonement, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension into Heaven, His high priestly intercession on behalf of His people, and His personal, visible return to earth. (Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 9:6, John 1:14, John 8:58, John 10:30, Acts 1:10-11, Philippians 2:5-11, Colossians 1:15, Hebrews 4:14-16)

God the Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, empower and preserve all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ, and that He is an abiding helper, teacher and guide. (John 14:26, John 16:7-15, Romans 8:14-17, 1 Corinthians 12:4-7, Ephesians 1:13-14, 2 Thessalonians 2:13)

We believe that all people are sinners by nature and by choice and are, therefore, spiritually dead and under condemnation. We believe that those who by faith, personally trust in Jesus Christ as their Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and saved by Gods grace, which is a gift that can not be earned by any other works. (Romans 3:22-24, Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:1-9)

The Church

We believe in one, holy, universal church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church, consisting of groups of believers in Jesus Christ, and associated for worship, ministry, evangelism, discipleship and fellowship. As these purposes are fulfilled, we believe that the local church brings the hope of Christ to the world. (Acts 2:42, 1 Corinthians 12:13, Colossians 1:18, Ephesians 2:10, Mark 12:30, Romans 12:5, Philippians 2:5, 1 Peter 4:10, Colossians 4:5, Matthew 22:38 40, Matthew 28:20)

Christian Conduct

We believe that Christians should bring glory to God and find their ultimate satisfaction in Him. We believe that we have freedom in Christ to seek the well-being of others, to be stewards and not owners of our possessions, to pray and give thanks in all circumstances. Our conduct should be increasingly motivated by and reflective of the Holy Spirit, who produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control in us as we are transformed to be more like Christ. (1 Corinthians 10:23-24, 2 Corinthians 3:17-18, 2 Corinthians 9:6-8, Colossians 3:12-17, Galatians 5:22-24, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Christian Ordinances

We believe Jesus instituted two ordinances that are outward symbols of an inward spiritual truth or experience. Baptism is best seen by immersing someone in water and is a one-time action to be administered to believers only. Baptism does not save or cleanse from sin, but is an act that symbolizes the inward truth that one has been saved by faith and cleansed from sin. Baptism also represents our being buried with Christ to our old self and raised to walk in our new life in the Spirit. Communion or the Lords Supper was instituted by Christ to remember His death. Communion is open to all who have received Christ as Savior and should be celebrated on a regular basis. (Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 8:36-38, Romans 6:3-4, 1 Corinthians 6:11, Matthew 26:26-28, 1 Corinthians 11:23-29)

-Our Awana program will begin this Wednesday, Oct. 20th at 6:15pm. It will run until 7:30pm. Awana has something for kids ages 3 years-5th grade. If you would like to register your child(ren), please click on the link on the left side of the page (“Awana Registration”).
-Starting this Wednesday, October 20, we will be hosting an adult study. The Wednesday night study will be its own service. It will consist of some teaching, some small group discussion, and prayer. There may be some Wednesday nights we add in some worship as well. The Wednesday night studies will be different from our Sunday morning. We will start with some in depth Bible study. We will start with the book of Colossians. If you’ve never studied the Bible before this is a great way to start. We will spend the next 8 weeks studying through the book of Colossians.
-On Sunday, Oct. 31st we will be having a Star Wars Day as we wrap up our Star Wars themed message series. We encourage everyone to wear their Star Wars apparel/costumes. That will also be a family Sunday, with all Pre School and Elementary kids sitting in service (so have them dress up, too!) We will also have something for the kids to take home after the service.
-We will be having a baptism day on Sunday, Nov. 7. If you would like to be baptized, or have any questions, you can email brianraynard@yahoo.com
-The worship team is selling t-shirts to raise money for new equipment. Shirts are $15 each and can be purchased in the foyer at Crossroads Monticello. If you have any questions, feel free to email Chelsea at chelsea@ccwired.org
