Each year, Crossroads Church partners with Samaritan’s Purse for Operation Christmas Child. OCC participants pack shoe boxes that are then sent to children around the world. The boxes are packed based on age and gender, and include items such as toys, hygiene items, and school supplies. On Sunday, November 18, 2018, Crossroads held its first Operation Christmas Child Packing Party (and soup luncheon). Donations were collected in the weeks leading up to the party, and then the team leaders bought items in bulk. Everything was then assembled at the party. Many people came to help pack boxes and, as you can see from the photos, it was a lot of fun.
There were 91 boxes packed at the 2018 party, and a total of 123 boxes collected all together!
A BIG thanks to our OCC coordinator this year, Kasey Stenger (above, left) with the help of Jennifer Voyles (above, right). None of this would have been possible without their vision and leadership.
